Gill Boyd has been cooking for twenty three years starting in high
school working in hotels learning line and banquet cooking.
He then attended Johnson and Wales University receiving a
Associates Degree in Culinary Arts and a Bachelors of Science
in Foodservice Management he also attended the Cordon Bleu Paris
Studying classic French pastry and Bournemouth and Poole 
Technical College in England. After graduating he worked in New York and  .
and Washington D.C.with accomplished chefs such as Jonathon Waxman, Robert Kinkaid
and Marvin Woods who all inspired him with their ‘New American’
Style of cooking. He also worked at The Windows of the World at the top
Of the World Trade Center.
In the mid nineties he worked at the Reebok Sports Club in New York
as a Café Manager then as the Café Chef specializing in healthy low fat
foods and developing recipes that centered on special nutritional
guidelines.
After working at the Sports Club he started his own business cooking
and delivering low fat meals using seasonal ingredients and a weekly
changing menu.
In 1999 he started Gill’s Coffee Bar in New York which sold quality
Coffee, smoothies, and Sandwiches, then after the events of September
11th the business closed and he became the Head Chef of the VEG
City Diner which had an all vegetarian menu.
He was been seen on the DIY Network and promotes his two websites 
 Gillsfastandhealthy.com and Gillboyd.com that show easy to prepare
recipes and cooking videos.
Gill is also a Chef Instructor at the California School of Culinary Arts
 in Pasadena.
